This is all my grandfather's fault.

“I bet you'd be good at advertising,” he said. Granted, I was just 11, but I was weirdly ambitious and already desperate to find my life's work. So I headed to the library, checked out every book on ad careers, and chose my path: I would be an account executive.

Close enough.

As a creative director and writer, I've been full-time and freelance for shops in NYC, LA, Paris, Minneapolis and of course, my hometown Chicago, where I'm currently at FCB with my longtime art director Marisa Groenweghe.

I live in Irving Park with my fella, a pug named Lemon and a cat named Boo. Let's talk documentaries.
